Description:
This mid-level engineer position located at Fermi 2 will perform routine technical work requiring the application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks under direct and frequent supervision. Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice, but may include a variety of responsibilities such as resolution of conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. Tasks assigned may require a varied in-depth engineering knowledge of Fermi 2 design, maintenance and operation. Typical assignments may include preparation and checking of software control documents specification sheets, calculations, design modification changes, and technical resolution of issues related to the equipment performance, configuration control, and outage support, working with little or no management supervision. Performance of these assignments requires experience at an operating nuclear power plant. For more complex activities, they work under the guidance and review of more experienced staff.
