We are seeking a Power Delivery Engineer with expertise in medium to high voltage systems including physical substation design and protection and controls. This is a hands-on, on-site role based in St. George, UT, offering the opportunity to work on complex, impactful energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop physical designs, grounding designs, and HV/MV designs tailored to client needs
Create schematic diagrams and control systems (P&C) to optimize substation performance
Generate raceway/cable schedules and oversee MV switchgear/E-house design
Collaborate with civil and structural teams to ensure design compliance and integrity
Conduct system studies and calculations using modeling software, including short-circuit analysis, load flow analysis, and grounding analysis
Perform AC station service and DC battery sizing calculations to support substation functionality
Implement lightning protection measures to safeguard substation infrastructure
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of consulting experience with power engineering, specifically in substation design 12.47 kV – 345 kV.
Proven expertise in physical layout, protection and controls, and medium-to-high voltage systems
Strong knowledge of substation design principles and electrical distribution systems
Proficiency in ETAP software is a plus
Experience with BlueBeam, Visual, and Microsoft Office applications
